As already indicated, the alternative is to do what everyone else does by having you do a few activities, slap hot pad on you and let the eat up your time and then send you out the door. Our method allows you to attend in accord with your motivation and need. If we didn't do it this way, we would no longer be in business considering how the Hospitals own most of the physicians and send patient's to their own centers.

Each person has unique needs and as such they have to participate in activities specific for their condition As such, treatments will vary and your program will be modified in accord with need. All patients are within eye and ear shot and with proper communications all patients are able to get care beyond what they can get elsewhere.

This is the purpose of having patients read and sign a letter describing how we function and what our responsibilities are and what the patients responsibilities are. We are repeatedly thanked for doing things this way as people in general prefer a non-rushed individualized environment. We don't kick you out or take time away from your care if you're late and we aren't clock watchers. This ensures the Highest Quality of care possible. Our patients typically understand it can get busy while ensuring they get care they cannot possibly get elsewhere and they know how to acquire the attention they need.

Staff were well-intentioned, but the program did not seem well organized. During the initial appointment, the main therapist spent a lot of time with me. After that, I showed up at the time of my appointments, but ended up waiting quite a while before a therapist was available to work with me. Many people seemed to be scheduled at the same time. Also seemed to lack a sense of continuity and structure from session to session.

In accord with what you signed describing how things work in our facility and how 'you' were requested to take an active role in your care and provide communications; any perceived problems could have been easily remedied. However, unfortunately there will be the occasion when a patient would prefer making a complaint via an internet review rather than taking steps himself to see if perceived problems can be rectified via direct communications with the owner of the facility.

I had a bilateral ankle break that took forever to recover from, and my balance was way off. I went to another PT provider for at least 4 months. My surgeon finally transfered me to Fyzical. Can't begin to say what a difference it was! They are fantastic! I recommend them to everyone that has to have therapy. The time they spend with you, the options for treatment, the staff, equipment and hours are great. I made more progress at Fyzical in the first month alone. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have the balance or strength I do now in my ankle. They gently pushed me to do better each day, made me laugh when it hurt and got me where I am today. The other PT place gave me a routine and basically left me alone to do it. It became routine and boring. With Fyzical, it is never boring. Thank you!

Interestingly what Mr. G found objectionable is actually what allowed our business to flourish. The reason why there are many people in the facility at the same time, at times, is because there are no session time limits which allows each person to obtain more care with each visit attended than possible elsewhere. If one has a time limitation, that needs to be stated by the patient so we can easily accommodate him/her. We could easily do what others do; slap you with a few activities and shove you out the door. However, we've come up with a unique system that ensures each and every person gets the best possible care. The only difference is, we require our patients to take at least 'some' responsibility for the care they receive through something simple called 'communication.'

Patients are asked to read and sign a letter which details their responsibilities as a patient so they can ensure their satisfaction with the care they receive. The reason why the care did not seem well organized to Mr. G. is that we are not a 'cookie cutter' facility and we will have quite a few people in here at the same time. It's actually quite a fun, festive atmosphere and 99.99 percent of patients prefer it this way. In order to appear organized in the way described by Mr. G, we would have to do what others do and have each person who enters our facility do the same thing as the next person; limit the number of activities and send you on your way as soon as your hour was up. This is doing no favors to anyone.

Were we to do things like everyone else, we'd be closed today. Our patients come primarily via word-of-mouth because of the time we avail, our skill level and because programs are individualized. We cannot do any better for those who choose not to take personal responsibility for their own care by communicating directly to have any perceived problem rectified.

This is a reply to David G's review. As you will notice my response is detailed because I take the care we provide seriously.
